2017 Academic Scholarship | Honoring Your Elders

2017 Academic Scholarship | Honoring Your Elders

At Hackard Law we’re proud to represent
clients in estate, trust, and probate litigation and cases of elder financial abuse throughout
California. And we want to inspire young people across
America to give back to their communities and honor their elders – that’s why we
created the Hackard Law Academic Scholarship in the form of $2,500 to support a student’s
higher education. For 2017, our theme sounds pretty simple:
What actions have you taken to honor and assist elders in your family or community? That said, honoring and assisting one’s
elders day in and day out could hardly be called an easy task. Caring for the vulnerable is a major responsibility
that takes both compassion and determination, and we commend everyone who puts their heart
into this hard work. We’re just a couple months away from our
submission deadline of August 15th, and we’ve already received a stack of essays from colleges
that are all over the country, from here in California, Oregon, and Washington to Texas,
New York, Florida, and everywhere in between. For all of the applicants who have made their
submissions, we thank you for your enthusiastic response. To all the undergraduate, graduate and law
students who would like to apply, you still have time to reflect and write about how you
have honored and served your elders. We look forward to reading each essay, and
we’d like to express our gratitude for your participation. Thank you.
