The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program
guides every student through applying to college. As they complete all the steps, students have
the chance to earn up to $40,000. Students can join the program now to start earning
chances and tracking their progress. Here’s how it works. Students can get started by building a list of 6 colleges
on BigFuture for a possible $500 scholarship. Next, students who practice for the SAT for 6 hours
or more using Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy earn a chance at $1,000. Students who practice for 6 hours on Official SAT
Practice and improve their SAT score by 100 points or more can earn a $2,000 scholarship. When they start senior year, students can make their
college list stronger with a mix of reach, match, and safeties – for a chance at a $500 scholarship. Next, students complete the FAFSA, a free government
financial aid form – for a possible $1,000. The last step is applying to college. Students who apply
to 2 or more colleges will be eligible to earn $1,000. Each one of these steps propels students closer to college. And by completing all 6 steps, they have a chance
