  1. @ShinVlog I have a former student that is putting together a Windows version. I will try to add this when he is done.

  2. I have been teaching science for 20 years and just started my own You Tube Channel. My students have been going and checking out some of my instructional videos. Your tips and explanation is very encouraging. I am really excited to get started. Thanks again for the tips and details.

  3. Hi Paul. Love the video. I'm very interested in using screencasts for my classes, but there are a lot of products out there. Have you ever used screencast-o-matic? Also, do you have links for the products that you use? Are you using different hardware/software for your screencasts now? Thanks in advance for your reply!

  4. Very helpful. Thanks, For those of you who don't know, Paul was teacher of the year. Here's a quote "The Montana Professional Teaching Foundation has announced the 2011 Montana Teacher of the Year: Paul Andersen of Bozeman."

  5. Paul: Shopping for a graphics tablet. Any preferences? Saw that you use Wacom product. These are available locally but not sure how "robust" it needs to be. Your thoughts?

  6. Paul, I have purchased a go mic samson. I have a macbook pro. Just wondering if you still think Screenflow is a good screen capturing software to purchase. There are so many screen capturing software out there. So after making screen cast for the last 3 or 4 years, would you recommend anything different that you do in this video. Thank you very much for you help and support. Also your NGSS video series are very helpful. Keep up the great work!

  7. Myles- I am still using Screenflow. I am so used to the software that it would be hard to change. Camtasia Studio for Mac is a nice alternative. They both cost around the same amount. Best of luck.

  8. Great tutorial. Could you please explain how you're able to draw over you Keynote while it's in presentation mode? I have all the software and hardware but I can't seem to figure out the procedural steps/the "workflow" of how to do what you did. Could you elaborate on those steps?

  9. Make sure you check the following box under Preferences>Slideshow>Allow Expose, Dashboard and others to use the screen. Hope this helps.

  10. Awesome tutorial! Could you explain how you make your intros for your videos? What software do you use for that? I decided to make my own screencasts for a course I teach, at a high school here in Toronto, where students learn to create electronic music. Your tutorial helped me out big time in terms of figuring out what software to use for mine.

  11. Hi Paul! Thanks for this video! Quick question: Are you still using all of the same software, or have you upgraded in the past few years? Also– I am wondering if an ipad would replace both the macbook and the tablet, or simply the tablet? Thanks!

  12. Can you please do a video on calculating magnification of a cell using the formula: Image size = Actual size x Magnification, I really don't understand it and I haven't found any useful videos on youtube to help. Pleaseeeeeee help! My exams are really close so I need all the help I can get.

Thanks in advance Mr Anderson 🙂
