Hi! My name is Grace. I work in PhotoPass, and I’m on my Disney College Program. I went to school for broadcasting, so I thought PhotoPass would be such a good role for me for my experience. And I always love taking taking pictures in my free time, so I thought, What a great thing to do – capture moments for other guests around the world. That’d be awesome! When I go into work, I get my equipment all set up. I get my camera, my PDA right here where we scan our guests’ pictures on. And then I go out there and shoot. We have different settings for different times of the day. We do carry a lot of heavy equipment in PhotoPass. We carry our camera, but we also carry our tripods. We are outside a majority of the time, so we are out in the Florida heat. And we get to move around into all these different areas. We are walking a lot. In PhotoPass we are trained to learn what’s best for pictures. We’ll learn about different poses we can do with our guests. We will have them just take some regular pictures with them with them standing side by side. And we’ll also do group hugs, and we’ll try to do a bunch of different creative shots for our guests so they are not just getting that “just standing there” picture. PhotoPass does not require any experience from before. They come here and they teach you everything that you need to know about your equipment and about shooting with your guests and posing and everything. They come teach you all of that. I think my PhotoPass role will definitely help me in my future career. Just having The Walt Disney Company on my resume is something that I think goes with anything. No matter what role you’re in, it’s a very good thing to have – that you worked for Disney – because they’re such an amazing company to work for.
