One of the best things we can do to help ensure the future success of our children is to invest time and energy into helping them learn during their youngest years. Did you know that learning
begins immediately after birth and children learn more quickly
during their first five years than at any other time in their lives? Your child’s early learning experiences
deeply affect their future physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. As a parent or caregiver, you have the potential to help all children of all abilities learn and grow. Where do we begin to help them learn,
thrive and succeed? Explore together! Exploring helps your child use all of their senses and helps them see how things are different and learn how they work. Do chores together! Doing chores together helps your child develop their problem solving and motor skills and helps them to become more self-reliant and confident. Play games together! While screen time is not recommended for children under the age of two, enjoying positive digital learning games
together with your child can help enhance their cognitive and memory skills. Sing together! Singing helps your child learn sounds and meanings and helps them learn self- expression. Read together! Reading stimulates your child’s imagination and expands their understanding of the world and enhances their language skills. Each of these simple, fun activities
significantly help your child learn and will motivate them to want to learn more! We encourage moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and all caregivers to try and do something little every day that will help your child. These baby steps will add up to a brighter future!
