Have you heard about the SCC Promise
Scholarship? Santiago Canyon College is offering class of 2020 High School
Graduates free tuition, regardless of your family income. There are two
different scholarships available through the Promise Scholarship Program.
One is free tuition, so if your family makes too much money and you don’t
qualify for financial aid…well that means you get to earn a $700 tuition
reimbursement for the Fall and the Spring Semester. The second scholarship
available is for students that qualify for financial aid, because you already
have your tuition covered, we will give you a $200 bookstore scholarship each
semester that you qualify for the Promise Scholarship. You can be eligible
for the SCC Promise Scholarship in just 3 easy steps. First, apply to Santiago
Canyon College online for the Fall 2020 semester. Second, you can apply for your
financial aid application whether it’s FAFSA or California Dream Act. Don’t
worry even if your family makes too much money, you still qualify for a
scholarship. Third, you will go ahead and complete the pledge form online at sccollege.edu/freetuition. After you complete the SCC Application, you will
receive an email with next steps. Once you have been approved for your Promise
Scholarship, make sure to complete the requirements; because you will not earn
your scholarship until the end of the fall semester. Once we verify that you
have completed your 12 units, earned a 2.0 GPA, met with the first-year support
mentor, and a counselor to create your Comprehensive Education Plan. A
First-Year Support Mentor will meet with you to discuss campus resources
available to meet your unique need here at SCC. You will also meet with the
counselor to develop a Comprehensive Education Plan. That is your full
semester by semester schedule in order for you to reach your educational goal.
