MATT CARON: THE SORORITY ALUMNAE CHAPTER HELD ITS 5TH ANNUAL RED AND WHITE SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON AT THE CHEZ JOSEF IN AGAWAM. TWO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS. IDA FLYNN, THE FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE SPRINGFIELD NAACP TOLD 22NEWS, HOW VITAL IT ISTO THE COMMUNITY THAT PROMISING STUDENTS RECEIVE THE HELP THEY NEED TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. IDA FLYNN: WE NEED MORE SCHOLARSHIPS, WE NEED MORE COMMNUITY INVOLVEMENT, THERE IS SO MUCH THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, SCHOLARSHIPS ARE VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE THEY WOULD LOVE TO GO FURTHER IN SCHOOL.
