Stypendium za granicą | Scholarship to study abroad – tips

Hi, Angelika Li here Today I will talk about what’s worth to do when you are on scholarship abroad All of these things are only my suggestion It’s not a to-do list Take it easy All of the things I’m going to tell you about are my own suggestions based on my own experience as a scholarship student in China but I think that no matter where you go (not only China) you can find these suggestions useful If you are new here, I’m just reminding you to subscribe my channel and let’s get started Firstly, I think it’s worth to have a language partner Who is that? When I came here for my scholarship my university provided me the language partner The language partners are Chinese students, whose major was teaching Chinese to speakers of other language And these people were the language partners/private tutor For them it was a part of their internship and we got our tutors It was great experience and a great chance to meet new people, especially new Chinese friends to practice Chinese, to get to know the culture I personally think it’s really great thing If your university don’t offer this I think it’s still worth to ask at foreign students’ office or ask your teachers Secondly, do internship I think having abroad internship done always looks good in your CV and when is better time for it, if not while you are still studying It’s great opportunity to use language that you’ve learnt before To check it out how it’s to work in Chinese team/company and to get new experience Third, get a language proficiency certificate In case of China it’s HSK It’s really must have If you are coming here for a scholarship, sooner or later you are gonna take HSK I think it’s better to do it sooner than later Why? If you decide to keep studying abroad it’s worth to have the certificate earlier so you can easily and with no rush apply for a scholarship Fourth, buy books for studying the language If you decide to go back to your country, take them with you I bought few too But I will tell you only about the best ones HSK level 6 vocabulary book (whole set HSK1-HSK6) As you can see it’s super used up It’s really great book What’s so great about it? You have all of the HSK6 words put together 2500 words so only HSK 6 words All of the words have English definition, pinyin, examples how to use, collocations, synonyms, antonyms It’s really perfect and complete set Everything is put perfectly together I bought these books from Tao Bao and I totally recommend them I can’t imagine studying for HSK without these books Another books is a suggestion that I got on facebook group for people who are into China These are kids’ books That one is first grade book It’s really great basis It may seem to easy But it’s really great you can find there not only super basics, but also more difficult stuff such as reading with result compliments or direction compliments Not that super easy I’ve learnt a lot from these books The best way to buy the books is buying them in second hand book store (check on your campus) For that one I payed 5 RMB Super cheap If you have any other suggestions or ideas for new videos Let me know in the comment Thanks a lot Remember to subscribe and check out my Instagram See you next time, bye
